Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 ½ cups water (or milk of your choice)
- ½ cup cooked kidney beans
- ¼ cup steamed cauliflower florets
- ¼ cup diced ripe papaya
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Papaya slices and extra kidney beans for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, convey water (or milk) to a boil. Add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce warmth to low and simmer for 5-7 mins, stirring sometimes, till the oats are cooked and creamy. Stir in the cooked kidney beans and steamed cauliflower florets. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes to warm them and permit the flavors to combine. Stir within the diced papaya. Now put cinnamon or nutmeg for added flavor. If you want a sweeter oatmeal, drizzle honey or maple syrup. Divide the oatmeal into bowls and garnish with papaya slices and further kidney beans for delivered texture and coloration.
