Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 ½ cups water (or milk of your choice)
- ½ cup cooked black gram (soaked and boiled)
- ½ ripe peach, sliced
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or ghee
- Pinch of salt
- Peach slices and a sprinkle of mustard seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, convey water (or milk) to a boil. Add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce warmness to low and simmer for five-7 mins, stirring sometimes, till the oats are creamy and cooked. In a small pan, warmth the coconut oil or ghee over medium warmness. Add mustard seeds and allow them to pop for 30 seconds to launch their flavor. Stir the cooked black gram and tempered mustard seeds into the oatmeal. Cook for another 2-3 mins to allow the flavors to combine. Stir inside the sliced peaches and honey or maple syrup for sweetness. Let the oatmeal simmer for every other minute to melt the peaches. Divide the oatmeal into bowls and garnish with more peach slices and a sprinkle of mustard seeds for a burst of taste and texture. Serve heat and enjoy this protein-wealthy, fiber-crammed, and nutrient-packed breakfast!
